Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Digital Villainous at digitalvillainous.com, including solo and local play, online games, accounts, social features, and rewards. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service. Questions can be sent to the site operator at markeschilders@gmail.com.

Accounts and access

Use accurate account information and a unique username that does not impersonate another person or contain abusive content. Keep your sign-in details secure and report suspected unauthorized access. Use only accounts you are authorized to access. If you are not legally able to agree to these terms on your own, involve a parent or guardian as required by applicable law.

Authentication is provided through Clerk and may include Google or other enabled providers. Their services have their own terms. Account sessions may remain signed in when you reopen the game, so sign out on shared devices.

Fair play and community conduct

Do not cheat, manipulate matches or rankings, exploit bugs for rewards, circumvent access restrictions, interfere with other players' games, or attempt unauthorized access. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, publish someone else's private information, or post unlawful content. Report bugs and abusive behavior through the available reporting tools or support email.

Rewards and virtual tokens

Evil, Divine, and Reverse tokens are virtual game benefits, not money, investments, or property redeemable for cash. Rewards and tokens are for use within the game; they cannot be sold or transferred outside supported game features. The Rewards page describes availability and current unlock costs.

• Evil tokens unlock eligible rewards. Eligible expansions cost 200 Evil tokens each under the current reward rules.
• Divine tokens unlock an eligible expansion and its included content, not unrelated rewards. Accounts receive one starter Divine token; additional grants are limited to announced special events.
• Reverse tokens undo an eligible reward unlock and return the original Evil or Divine token payment. One starter Reverse token is provided and is consumed when used; further grants require a special event. Reversing an expansion removes its access and included benefits unless another entitlement applies. Restrictions may apply while a match is active.

Introduction to Evil is a re-release and remains unlocked for everyone, alongside the base content. Staff and Play Tester expansion or reward access is tied to their assigned role and can change when that role changes. Displayed reward rules and eligibility checks apply. A reversal returns virtual tokens, not a cash refund.

Game progress and service changes

The game is maintained and updated over time. Features, balance, rewards, and availability may change. Bugs, interruptions, or device storage loss may affect saves, results, or access. We may correct erroneous results or token grants and remove benefits obtained through abuse. We do not promise uninterrupted service, permanent availability of every feature, or error-free gameplay.

Shared content and replays

You are responsible for content you submit, including messages and reports. Only submit content you have the right to share. You permit us to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the features you use and investigate reports. This permission does not transfer ownership of your original content. Shared replay links and social features may make gameplay or profile information visible to others; see the Privacy Policy.

Moderation and ending access

We may restrict features, remove content, reverse abusive rewards, or suspend an account for violations, security threats, or interference with the service. Contact support to ask about a moderation decision or request a review. You may stop playing at any time and request account deletion using the process in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

Game names, characters, artwork, trademarks, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. These terms do not grant ownership of or a license to redistribute those materials. Do not copy or commercially exploit material unless you have the necessary permission. Rights holders may contact support about material on the site.

Responsibility and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee that it will meet every expectation or always work without interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections. These terms do not require you to give up applicable statutory remedies.

Updates and contact
